New Website!

Click Here to Visit Sleigh Hill

I just couldn't resist. Ever since I've owned my little brick and mortar shop, I NEED to have a little shop SOMEWHERE! And since I no longer have a shop with a physical presence, I've opened up an online shop full of all the things that I love...original art and crafts, unique art and craft supplies, antique and vintage finds. I have a LOT more to add to the shop, so stop by often.

I named my little shop Sleigh Hill. I happen to live on Sleigh Hill Court and always thought it would be a great name for a shop full of pretty needful things. And since I love soooo many styles; vintage, shabby, cottage, romantic, primitive... there's a little something for everyone.

Please come take a peek...

Paper Dress Swap

Heather at http://www.speckled-egg.com/ hosted this wonderful swap. It was a five for five swap and Heather included ribbon and small clothespins to hang our dresses from. I LOVE the dresses I received!

Gothic School Arch

A new fun challenge blog may be found at http://gothicarches.blogspot.com/. Each week, a different challenge is posted to create a piece of art in the shape of a Gothic Arch. This week's challenge was school. I took a previous piece I had made, fit it to the Arch template and embellished it a bit more. I plan on making a Gothic Arch book with my pages when I'm done. I've always loved arches, so this should be a lot of fun!

Shabby Pink Party Hat!

Sally Smith won this custom party hat for her participation in an Art in the Word weekly inspirational prompt. She requested her hat be in pink, rose and cream, so I really let the pink explode! Materials used: paper mache cone, pink acrylics, vintage pink satin ribbon, vintage crotcheted roses, paper scrap, silver glitter and old buttons. This may also be turned upside down and used as a cone for goodies!
